 Information about various kinds of incentives

(1)Incentive for Flights Connecting through Haneda Airport

Ishikawa Prefecture is offering incentives for foreign and domestic travel agencies advertising tour packages to Ishikawa that utilize an international flight into or out of Narita Airport or Haneda Airport and connect to or from a regularly scheduled flight into or out of either Komatsu Airport or Noto Airport.

50,000 yen for a tour using a one-way connecting flight

100,000 yen for a tour using a round-trip connecting flight

*Only for overnight stays of two nights or more in Ishikawa Prefecture and for tours of at least 15 people.

*The total amount of incentives that can be distributed annually is limited by Ishikawa’s annual budget.

(2)Incentive Tours

For incentive tours of 15 or more persons who utilize lodging within Ishikawa Prefecture for at least one night, Ishikawa Prefecture will present guests with a local traditional arts and craft souvenir or arrange a workshop for guests to make their own traditional arts and crafts.

For groups of 100 or more, the prefecture will also provide some entertainment for a banquet (i.e. Japanese taiko drumming or koto performance).

If your company expects to plan over 200 overnight stays in Ishikawa throughout the year, Ishikawa will provide support for the prior examination of tour destinations within the prefecture (Ishikawa will bear the costs of the travel agent’s stay in the prefecture)

For tour groups that utilize the regularly scheduled international flights into or out of Komatsu Airport, the prefecture will present a small gift of mineral water (in a plastic bottle) to guests.

(3)Charter Bus Incentive to Promote Tours Utilizing International Flights Out of Komatsu Airport

Ishikawa will provide an incentive on tour packages for foreign visitors who use international flights into and out of Komatsu Airport, use a charter bus to tour facilities in the region around Komatsu Airport, and lodge for at least one night in the region around Komatsu Airport.
Conditions

(1) Only for foreign visitors who use the following flights

1. International flights into or out of Komatsu Airport (includes both regularly scheduled flights and charter flights)

2. International flights into or out of Komatsu Airport which connect through Narita Airport or Haneda Airport

(2)Only for foreign visitors who use a charter bus to tour the region around Komatsu Airport (Komatsu, Kaga, Hakusan, Nomi)

(3) In addition to visiting the tourist spots in the region around Komatsu Airport, tourists must also lodge at least one night in the region.

(4)Must use a charter bus company that has an office in Ishikawa Prefecture.

Incentive

If the above conditions are met, the prefecture will subsidize 50,000 yen for the cost of one charter bus, up to 4 buses total (amount is halved in the case of a one-way trip from Komatsu Airport)

Hokuriku Shinkansen (Bullet train) / Tourist Attractions Database

Hokuriku Shinkansen (Bullet train) line is scheduled to start operationg on Saturday, March 14, 2015.

The line connects Tokyo and Kanazawa in as littele as 2 hours and 28 minutes.

The database introduced here privides abundant information on attractivetourism resources in the prefectures on Hokuriku Shinkansen Line.

Please utilize the database as a travel guide to Japan for your customers.
