Kaga-Yuzen Kimono Center

Here you can view the exhibits on display as well as buy Kaga Yuzen products, which is one of the traditional arts of Ishikawa Prefecture. You can enjoy Kaga Yuzen hand-painting demonstrations, Kaga Yuzen exhibits as well as hands on experience corner for 'katazome' (block printing with stencil cutting and coloring with natural colors). You can also have a trial of Kaga Yuzen Kimono, which is one of the most popular features of the Center. We also provide a special kimono separated in top and bottom wear, which is easier to wear and takes only about 30 minutes. Kimono wearing experience is available for 1500 JPY (Entry fee included) and if the weather is fine, it's also possible to take a stroll wearing these beautiful kimonos for approximately 1 hour (3800 JPY / Entry fee included).

Take a Hokutetsu bus from JR Kanazawa station and get down at Kenrokuen-shita bus stop, from where it's a 2 minutes walk.
