Inside a 130,000 Tsubo (about 430 m2) natural forest, old houses with thatched
roofs were moved to the current location and created this Village of Traditional
Arts. Inside each house is a different kind of traditional arts & crafts that
are famous in Ishikawa, and visitors can observe the making process of each articles.
There are also over 50 assorted activities where you can get your hands on trying
out some of the techniques, such as Yuzen silk-dyeing, making items on the pottery
wheel, making soba noodles, painting and various gold leave activities. The souvenir
shops are full with traditional arts & crafts of Ishikawa; Yunokuni-no-mori
original goods are great choices of souvenirs along with the hand-made products
created by the visitors themselves. |

This fruit garden has an area of 25 Tsubo (about 83 m2). Visitors can enjoy barbecue
and picking seasonal fruits all year round. It is an all-you-can-eat for most
seasonal fruits such as strawberries, grapes and apples. A barbecue well-worth
of every yen that you paid is also very popular at this facility. After the meal
you can work off the calories by getting a few swings at the 18-hole golf course;
and if you enjoyed shopping, you will also find great souvenirs like homemade
jam and original wines at the souvenir shop. |

With the aim for visitors to have fun and learn at the same time, the Ishikawa
Zoo provides the perfect environment for you to observe and play with animals
while enjoying the surrounding greeneries; and simultaneously visitors will learn
to develop the spirit to preserve nature and protect animals.
With an area of 23 ha, the Ishikawa Zoo has over 600 animals in 135 species such
as the Asia Elephants, Orangutans and Red Pandas. There are also resting facilities
and an Animal Study Center for visitors to enjoy their hearts out all day long. |

You will be taken back in time to the world of dinosaurs just by looking at the
display of real dinosaur bones and a replica dinosaur skeleton. Visitors are greeted
by a fierce-looking Tyrannosaurus, and they will sure experience a time slip back
to prehistoric time after enjoying various exhibitions and movies in the mini
theater. There are also detailed dioramas, many big-screen 3D slides, and fossils
of plants and dinosaurs on display. Hands-on artifact excavation activities are
available at the "Kaseki Hakken Hiroba (Artifacts Discovery Square)". |

Even beginners can enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains just by getting on
a gondola and ride all the way to the top of the mountain. This Ski Resort has
slopes for snowboarding, courses for mogul skiing, as well as a course that has
an average inclination of 25シ and the steepest slope of 37シ for advanced level
skiers. For other seasons visitors can enjoy a stroll in the beech tree forests
at the mountain top.

Ski courses are constructed on this 350m highland, and visitors can ride on the
gondola to get to the top. You can get a fantastic view of the wide Kanazawa plains
and the alluvial fans of Tedorigawa River, as well as the Sea of Japan and the
Alpine mountain ranges. There are also two leisure facilities, "Park Shishiku"
and "Sky Shishiku", where visitors come and enjoy the winds of the 4 seasons.

With over 20-years of history in flying sports, the Shishiku Highland has received
great praises as a Mecca for hangliders and paragliders in the Hokuriku area.
It is also selected as one of the best flying sports location by the Ministry
of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Japan.

Inside the Museum, there are lion masks and other articles related to the Lion
Dance from around the world, as well as Japan's biggest wooden lion mask on display. |
