Kaga Hyakumangoku Golden Course

This course takes you from Kanazawa Station to some of the city’s premiere tourist attractions: Kenrokuen Garden, one of the country’s three most famous gardens; the Eastern Geisha District, numbered in Japan’s Top Three Teahouse Areas; and the world-renowned 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art.

The full-day course adds the Nagamachi Samurai District, where you can learn about the samurai culture of the Kaga Domain, and the Omicho Market, the “kitchen of Kanazawa for centuries. The easiest way to get around is the Kanazawa Loop Bus (one day pass: 500 yen).

Kanazawa Station

Loop Bus to Hashiba-cho (4) (Koban-mae) bus stop (about 10 minutes)

Higashi Chaya Teahouse District

Loop Bus to Kenrokuen-shita (1) (Ishikawamon-mukai) bus stop (about 5 minutes)

Kenroku-en Garden (spend about 1.5 hours) *Try matcha green tea in the Shigure-tei Teahouse

Nomura Samurai House (time spent: 45 minutes)
